Ā bāluḍu munupaṭi kaṇṭē biggaragā navvāḍu.

Grāmastulu kalata chendi kōpaṅgā akkaḍi nuṇḍi veḷlipōyāru.

English:

When the villagers arrived, they found no wolf again.

The boy laughed even louder than before.

Ā bāluḍu bhayapaḍi, "sahāyaṁ cēyi! Tōḍēlu! Tōḍēlu!" Ani arichāḍu.

English:

Later that day, the boy heard strange noises from his sheep.

When he looked up, he saw a big wolf attacking his flock.

The boy was scared and shouted, "Help! Wolf! Wolf!"

Translation:

Ā bāluḍu sahāyaṁ kōsaṁ kēkalu vēstū grāmāniki parigettāḍu.

Tana gorrelanu rakṣin̄chaḍāniki grāmastulanu ram’mani vēḍukunnāḍu.

Kānī grāmastulu, "mēmu ikapai ninnu nam’mamu" ani annāru.

English:

The boy ran to the village, crying for help.

He begged the villagers to come and save his sheep.

But the villagers said, "We don’t believe you anymore".
