Ā grāmanlō prajalu santōṣhaṅgā jīvin̄cāru.

Kānī vāru ellappuḍū jāgrattagā uṇḍēvāru endukaṇṭē konnisārlu aḍavi nuṇḍi tōḍēlu vastundi.

English:

Once upon a time, there was a small village near a forest.

The people in the village lived happily.

But they were always careful because a wolf sometimes came from the forest.

Surakṣitaṅgā uṇḍaṭāniki kalisi panichēyālani andarikī telusu.

English:

The villagers were scared of the wolf attacking their homes.

They stayed alert to protect each other from the wolf.

Everyone knew they had to work together to stay safe.

English:

One day, the shepherd boy sat under a tree while the sheep grazed.

He felt bored and wanted to do something fun.
