Translation:

Vyāpāri gāḍidanu chūsi, “ippuḍu nī padhakālu nīku elāṇṭi samasyalni tecchāyō ardhaṁ chēsukō” ani annāḍu.

“Kaṣhṭapaḍi panichēyaḍaṁ sōmaritanaṅgā uṇḍaṭaṁ kannā man̄chidi.” Ani annāḍu.

Chivaragā, “ellappuḍū nijāyitītō kaṣhṭapaḍi panicheyyi” ani kūḍā cheppāḍu.

English:

The merchant looked at the donkey and said, "Now you understand how your tricks caused problems".

He added, "Working hard is better than being lazy".

Finally, he said, "Always choose honesty and hard work".

He stopped pretending to fall into the river.

English:

The donkey worked hard every day.

The merchant treated him kindly in return.

English:
