English:

English:

One day, the donkey tripped over a stone and fell into the river.

The merchant rushed to help him, worried that the donkey was hurt.

Luckily, the donkey only had a few scratches.

Dīni valana dāni vīpupai unna bhāraṁ cālā tēlikagā anipin̄cindi.

Anduvalana gaadida chalaa santhoshinchindi.

English:

After falling into the river, the donkey noticed the salt dissolving quickly in the water.

This made the load on his back feel much lighter.

The donkey was very happy about this!
