English:

Athu sonnathu, "Anbaana sittukkuruviɡalae, yaanai seythathaip patri naan migavum koobamaaga irukkiraen".

Athu maelum sonnathu, "Avanukku oru paadam karpikka naan ungalukku uthavuvaen".

English:

A woodpecker in a nearby tree saw this and flew to the sparrows.

He said, "Dear sparrows, I am furious about what the elephant did".

He also said, "I will help you to teach him a lesson".

Ee athaik kaettu, sittukkuruviKKU neethi kidaikka thittamida uthava oppukkondathu.

English:

They found a tiny fly buzzing near flowers.

The woodpecker told the fly about the elephant destroying the sparrow’s eggs.

The fly listened and agreed to help plan justice for the sparrow.
