அவர்கள் வித்தியாசமாக இருந்தாலும், அவர்கள் ஒன்றாக நேரம் செலவிடுவதையும், கதைகளைப் பகிர்ந்துகொள்வதையும், சிரித்து மகிழ்வதையும் விரும்பினார்கள்.

Translation:

Oru kaalathil, oru nariyum oru kokkum endra irandu nanbargal irundhanar.

Naarai kanivum porumaiyum kondadhu; Nariyo karvamum poraamaiyum kondadhu.

Avarkal viththiyaasamaaga irundhaalum, avarkal ondraaga neram selaviduvathaiyum, kathaikalaip pakirndhukolvathaiyum, siriththu makizhvathaiyum virumbinaarkal.

English:

Once upon a time, there were two friends, a fox and a stork.

Ms Stork was kind and patient, while Mr Fox was proud and jealous.

Even though they were different, they liked spending time together, sharing stories, and laughing.

அவள் அடிக்கடி சுவையான உணவைச் சமைத்து, தன் அண்டை வீட்டார்களை தன்னுடன் சாப்பிட அழைப்பாள்.

அவளுடைய கருணைக்காகவும் சிறந்த சமையல் திறனுக்காகவும் அனைவரும் அவளை விரும்பினார்கள்.

Translation:

Kaattilulla ellaa vilangugalum Thirumathi Naarayai nesiththana.

Aval adikkadi suvaiyaana unavaich samaiththu, than andai veettaarkalai thannudan saappida azhaippaal.

Avaludaiya karunaikkaagavum sirandha samaiyal thiranukkaagavum anaivarum avalai virumbinaarkal.

English:

All the animals in the forest loved Ms. Stork.

She often made tasty food and invited her neighbors to eat with her.

Everyone liked her for her kindness and great cooking skills.

A fox secretly watching the animals

ஒரு நாள், திரு. நரி, ஆந்தை, முயல், மாடு, பூனை, மற்றும் சிட்டுக்குருவி போன்ற விலங்குகள் திருமதி நாரையின் வீட்டிலிருந்து வெளியேறுவதைப் பார்த்தது.

அவை ஒரு பெரிய விருந்துக்குப் பிறகு மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியாகக் காணப்பட்டன.

திருமதி நாரை அவர்களுக்கு என்ன பரிமாறியிருந்தார் என்பதைப் பற்றி திரு. நரிக்கு ஆர்வம் ஏற்பட்டது

Translation:

Oru naal, Thiru. Nari, aandhai, muyal, maadu, poonai, matrum sittukkuruvi poandra vilangugal Thirumathi Naaraiyin veettilirundhu veliyaeruvadhaip paarththadhu.

Avai oru periya virundhukkup piragu migavum magizhchchiyaagak kaanappattana.

Thirumathi Naarai avarkalukku enna parimaariyirundhaar enbadhaip patri Thiru. Narikku aarvam aerpattadhu.

English:

One day, Mr.Fox saw animals like an owl, a rabbit, a cow, a cat, and a sparrow leaving Ms Stork’s house.

They looked very happy after a big meal.

Mr.Fox became curious about what Ms.Stork had served them.

எல்லோரும் திருமதி நாரையின் சமையலைப் பாராட்டியதால் திரு. நரிக்குப் பொறாமையாக இருந்தது.

அது தன்னை அவளை விட சிறந்தவன் என்று நினைத்தது, மேலும் அவளுக்கு ஒரு பாடம் கற்பிக்க விரும்பியது.

அதனால், ஒரு தந்திரமான திட்டத்துடன் அவளை இரவு உணவிற்கு அழைக்க அது முடிவு செய்தது.

Translation:

Ellorum Thirumathi Naaraiyin samaiyalaip paaraattiyadhaal Thiru. Narikkup poraamaiyaaga irundhadhu.

Adhu thannai avalai vida sirandhavan endru ninaiththadhu, maelum avalukku oru paadam karpikka virumbiyadhu.

Adhanaal, oru thanthiramaana thittaththudan avalai iravu unavirkku azhaikka adhu mudivu seidhadhu.

English:

Mr.Fox felt jealous because everyone praised Ms.Stork’s cooking.

He thought he was better than her and wanted to teach her a lesson.

So, he decided to invite her to dinner with a tricky plan.
