ஒரு காலத்தில், ஒரு காட்டில் இரண்டு பூனைகள் வாழ்ந்தன.

ஒரு பூனை கருப்பு நிறத்தில் இருந்தது. மற்றொரு பூனை வெள்ளை நிறத்தில் இருந்தது.

அவை இரண்டும் தினமும் ஒன்றாக விளையாடி, சாப்பிட்டு சிறந்த நண்பர்களாக இருந்தன.

வெள்ளை பூனைக்கு ஒரு யோசனை தோன்றியது.

"உணவு தேட கிராமத்துக்கு போவோம்" என்று வெள்ளை பூனை கூறியது.

கருப்பு பூனை அந்த யோசனையை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டது, இரண்டும் கிராமத்தை நோக்கி புறப்பட்டன.

Translation:

Vellai poonaikku oru yosanai thondriyadhu.

"Unavu theda gramathukku povom" endru vellai poonaikku kooriyadhu.

Karuppu poonaikku andha yosanai etrukkondadhu, irandum gramathai nokki purappattana.

English:

The white cat had an idea.

“Let’s go to the village to find food,” the white cat suggested.

The black cat accepted the idea, and both set out toward the village.

Iruppinum, avai adhai pagirndhu kollaamal vaathidath thodangina.

English:

As they walked through the village streets, they found a piece of bread.

Both cats were very happy to finally find food.

However, they began to argue rather than share it.
