Translation:

Oru onai daraiyil thoonguvadhu pol nadithadhu.

Matroru onai puthisaliyana aattidam sendru, "En nanban irandhuvittaan" endradhu.

Avanai adakkam seyya engalukku udhavu mudiyumaa?

English:

One wolf pretended to be asleep on the ground .

Another wolf went to the wise goat and said, “My friend has died."

"Can you help us bury him?”

ஓநாய்கள் தன் நண்பர்களையும் குடும்பத்தாரையும் வேட்டையாடிய விதம் ஆடுக்கு நினைவுக்கு வந்தது.

ஓநாய்களை நம்புவது குறித்து அது எச்சரிக்கையாகவும் நிச்சயமற்றதாகவும் உணர்ந்தது.

எந்த முடிவும் எடுப்பதற்கு முன், "நான் எப்படி உன்னை நம்புவது?" என்று ஆடு கேட்டது.

Translation:

Onaigal than nanbargalaiyum kudumbatharaiyum vettaiyaadiya vidam aadukku ninaivukku vanthadhu.

Onaigalai nambuvadhu kurithu adhu echcharikkaiyagavum nichayamatrathagavum unarnadhu.

Endha mudivum edupatharku mun, "Naan eppadi unnai nambuvadhu?" endru aadu kettadhu.

English:

The goat remembered how the wolves had hunted its friends and family.

It felt cautious and unsure about trusting the wolves.

The goat asked, "How can I trust you?" before making any decisions.

The wolf said, "A dead wolf can’t hurt you."

Please help us. We just want to bury our friend.

Translation:

Puthisali aadu onaiyudan sella mudivu seidhadhu, aanal vizhippudan irundhadhu.

Adhu than thoorathai kadaipidithukkondu methuvaaga Nadandhu sendradhu.

Adhu onaigalai muzhumaiyaga nambavillai.

English:

The wise goat decided to go with the wolf but stayed alert .

It kept its distance and walked slowly.

It didn’t fully trust the wolves.
