व्यापाऱ्याने गाढवाकडे पाहून म्हणाले, "आता तुला समजले की तुझ्या युक्तीमुळे समस्या झाल्या.

त्यांनी पुढे सांगितले, "आळशी होण्यापेक्षा कष्ट करणे चांगले आहे.

शेवटी ते म्हणाले, "नेहमी प्रामाणिकपणा आणि कष्ट यांना प्राधान्य दे.

Translation:

Vyāpāryāne gāḍhavākadē pāhūn mhaṇālē, "Ātā tulā samjalē kī tujhyā yukṭīmūḷē samasyā jhālyā.

Tyānnī pudhē sāṅgitalē, "Āḷashī hōṇyāpeḳṣā kasht karaṇē cāṅgalē āhe.

Śēvaṭī tē mhaṇālē, "Nēhamī prāmāṇikpaṇā āṇi kasht yānnā prādhānya dē.

English:

The merchant looked at the donkey and said, "Now you understand how your tricks caused problems".

He added, "Working hard is better than being lazy".

Finally, he said, "Always choose honesty and hard work".

Translation:

Tyā divashīpāsūn gāḍhavāne prāmāṇikpaṇē kām karaṇyāchā nirṇay gheṭlā.

To nadīt paḍalyāsārakhā nāṭak karaṇē thāmbavalē.

Vyāpāryālā gāḍhavāchā badalāmule ānand jhālā.

English:

From that day on, the donkey decided to work honestly.

He stopped pretending to fall into the river.

The merchant felt happy with the donkey’s change.

एकत्र ते एक छान टीम बनले आणि बाजारात अनेक यशस्वी प्रवास केले.

Translation:

Gāḍhav dararōj mehanat karāyachā.

Vyāpāryāne tyāchāṁ chāṅgalā vāgaṇūk dilī.

Ekatra tē ek chān ṭīm banlē āṇi bāzārāt anēk yaśasvī pravās kele.

English:

The donkey worked hard every day.

The merchant treated him kindly in return.

Together, they became a good team and made many successful trips to the market.

गाढवाने स्वतःला वचन दिलं, “मी पुन्हा कधीही आळशी होणार नाही.”

त्याला समजलं की प्रामाणिक असणं महत्त्वाचं आहे.

त्याने हेही शिकलं की कष्ट केल्याने आनंद मिळतो.

Translation:

Gāḍhavāne svatahālā vacana dilāṁ, “Mī punhā kadhīhī āḷashī honār nāhī.”

Tyālā samajlā kī prāmāṇik asaṇ mahattvāchā āhe.

Tyāne hēhī shikalā kī kasht kelyāne ānanda miḷto.

English:

The donkey promised himself, “I will never be lazy again”.

He understood that being honest is important.

He also learned that hard work brings happiness.
