Translation:

Lāṇḍagyānē tyācā āvāja gōḍa karaṇyāsāṭhī thōḍā khaḍū khāllā.

Maga, tinē punhā ṭhōṭhāvalē āṇi mhaṇālī, "ughaḍa, mājhyā priya gōsaliṅga. Tī tujhī ā’ī āhē!".

Tyācā āvāja ātā ma’ū vāṭata hōtā.

English:

The wolf ate some chalk to make his voice sound sweeter.

Then, he knocked again and said, "Open up, my dear goslings. It’s your mother!".

His voice now sounded soft.

Tē mhaṇālē, "tū āmacī ā’ī nāhīsa! Tujhē pan̄jē lāṇḍagyāsārakhē kāḷē āhēta!

Lāṇḍagā garjanā karata punhā yōjanā ākhaṇyāsāṭhī nighūna gēlā.

English:

The goslings peered through the door and saw his black paws.

They said, "You’re not our mother! Your paws are black like a wolf’s!" .

The wolf growled and left to plan again.

Tō parata ālā āṇi punhā dāra ṭhōṭhāvalē āṇi mhaṇālā, "tī tujhī ā’ī āhē! Mājhyā priya mulānnō, dāra ughaḍā!

Gōsliṅganē tyācē pāṇḍharē pan̄jē pāhilē āṇi tyācyāvara viśvāsa ṭhēvalā.

English:

The wolf rolled his paws in flour to make them look white.

He returned and knocked again, saying, "It’s your mother! Open the door, my dear children!".

The goslings saw his white paws and believed him.

Translation:

Tī tyācī ā’ī āhē asē samajūna, tyā pillānnī dāra ughaḍalē.

Lāṇḍagā āta śiralā āṇi tyān̄cā pāṭhalāga karū lāgalā.

Tyānē sahā gōsliṅgja pūrṇa giḷalē, tyācē pōṭa bharalē āṇi tō nighūna gēlā.

Paṇa sarvāta dhākaṭā mulagā ghaḍyāḷācyā pēṭīta lapalā

English:

Thinking it was their mother, the goslings opened the door.

The wolf burst in and chased them.

He swallowed six goslings whole, with his tummy full, and he left the place.

But the youngest hid in a clock case.
