Plop! Dagaḍ khālī buḍālā, āṇi pāṇī thōḍēsē vāḍhalē.

Yāmūḷē tyālā āśā vāṭū lāgalī.

English:

The crow picked up a pebble with his beak and dropped it into the pot.

Plop! The pebble sank to the bottom, and the water rise just a little.

This gave him hope.

Pāṇyāchā star haḷūhaḷū vāḍhat gēlā.

Kāvaḷā punhā piṇyācā prayatna kelā, paṇa ajūnhī pāṇī pōhōchū śakalā nāhī.

English:

He repeated the process, dropping pebbles one by one into the pot.

The water level rise slowly higher.

The crow tried to drink again, but still couldn’t reach the water.

English:

Even though he was tired, the crow did not give up.

He flew to gather more pebbles.

And he knew his efforts would eventually pay off.
