भांडे जुनं पण मजबूत दिसत होतं, त्याचा पृष्ठभाग काळाच्या आणि हवामानाच्या प्रभावामुळे घसरलेला होता.

कावळा भांड्याच्या कडेवर उतरला आणि संतुलन राखण्यासाठी आपल्या पंखांना फडफडू लागला.

थकून गेलेल्या शोधानंतर, त्याच्या तीव्र डोळ्यांत भांड्यात पाण्याची आशा चमकत होती.

Kāvaḷā bhāṇḍyācyā kaḍēvar utarlā āṇi santulan rākhāyāsāṭhī āpalyā pankhānna phaḍphaḍū lāgalā.

Thakūn gēlēlyā śodhānantar, tyācyā tīvr ḍōḷyāṁt bhāṇḍyāt pāṇyācī āśā camakat hotī.

English:

The pot looked old but sturdy, its surface worn by time and weather.

The crow landed on the pot’s rim, flapping his wings for balance.

After a tiring search, his sharp eyes gleamed with hope for water in the pot.

जेव्हा कावळ्याने भांड्याच्या आत पाहिले, तेव्हा त्याला फक्त थोडेसे पाणी दिसले.

तरीही तो ते सापडल्याने आनंदित होता.

पण पाणी त्याच्यासाठी पिण्यासाठी फार कमी होते.

Translation:

Jēvhā kāvaḷyānē bhāṇḍyācyā āta pāhilē, tēvhā tyālā phakta thōḍēsē pāṇī disalē.

Tarīhī tō tē sāpaḍlyānē ānandit hotā.

Paṇa pāṇī tyāchyāsāṭhī piṇyāsāṭhī phār kamī hōtē.

English:

When the crow looked inside the pot, he saw only a small amount of water.

He was still glad to find it.

But the water was too low for him to drink.

Translation:

Kāvaḷyānē āpalā chōchī bhāṇḍyācyā āta ghātalī, pāṇī pōhōchavaṇyāchā prayatna karat hotā.

Paṇa pāṇī khūpa khālī hotā.

Tō thakalā āṇi ēk thēmbhī pāṇī pyāyalā śakalā nāhī.

English:

The crow put his beak into the pot, trying to reach the water.

However, the water was too far down.

He got exhausted and couldn’t drink even a single drop.

English:

The crow looked around and noticed some pebbles on the ground.
