ಅವನು ಬಹಳ ಖುಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಾಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಂದು, ದಿನವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆಟವಾಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.

ಮರವು ಅವನ ಮನೆ ಆಗಿತ್ತು, ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಬಹಳ ಇಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟ.

Translation:

Ondu kāladalli, nadi hattirada maradalli ondu kōti idda.

Avanu bahaḷa khushiyāgi bāḷuttidda, ēkendare hannuṅgaḷannu tindu, dinavannella āṭavāḍuttittu.

Maravu avana mane āgittu, mattu avanu adannu bahaḷa iṣṭappaṭṭa.

ಕೋತಿಯ ಮರದ ಹತ್ತಿರ, ಒಂದು ಮೊಸಳೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಪತ್ನಿ ನದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರು.

ಅವರು ನದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈಜುತ್ತಾ, ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಕಳೆದರು.

Avarige kōti mattu avana mara bagge kutūhalavittu.

English:

ಒಂದು ಬಿಸಿಲಿನ ದಿನ, ಮೊಸಳೆ ಕ್ಲಾಂತರಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಕೋತಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಲು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿತು.

ಅವನು ಮೊಸಳೆಗೆ ಮರದಿಂದ ಸ್ವಾದಿಷ್ಟ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ.

Translation:

English:

One hot day, the crocodile looked tired.

The monkey saw him and decided to help.

He offered the crocodile some delicious fruits from his tree.

ಮೊಸಳೆ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಂದನು ಮತ್ತು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಾಯಿತು.

ಅವನು ಕೋತಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

Translation:

Mosale hannugaḷannu tindanu mattu chennāgittu.

Avanu kōtige dhanyavādagaḷu helidanu.

Kōti naguttā, tanna hosa snēhitnige sahāya māḍi santōṣapaṭṭa.

English:

The crocodile ate the fruits and felt better.

He thanked the monkey for the kind gift.

The monkey smiled and was happy to help his new friend.
