ಕೋತಿ ಚತುರ ಮತ್ತು ಶೀಘ್ರ.

ಅವನು ಮಧುರ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನಲು ಇಷ್ಟಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಅವನು ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಯೋಚಿಸಿ, ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿರಲು ಚತುರ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

Translation:

Kōti chatura mattu shīghra.

Avanu madhura hannuṅgaḷannu tinnalu iṣṭapaḍuttāne mattu maradalli vāsisuttāne.

Avanu vēgavāgi yōcisi, surakṣitavāgiralu chatura mārgagaḷannu kaṇḍukoḷḷuttāne.

English:

The monkey is smart and quick.

He loves to eat sweet fruits and lives on a tree.

He thinks fast and finds clever ways to stay safe.

ಮೊಸಳೆ ಬಲವಂತ ಮತ್ತು ನದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಅವನು ತುಂಬಾ ಚತುರನಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಪತ್ನಿಯ 말을 ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಅವನು ಕೋತಿಯನ್ನು ಮೋಸಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಗೆಲ್ಲಲಿಲ್ಲ.

Translation:

Mosale balavanta mattu nadiyalli vāsisuttāne.

Avanu tumbā chaturanalla, ādare tanna patniya māle kēḷuttāne.

Avanu kōtinantha mōsagoḷisalu prayatnisuttāne, ādare gellalilla.

English:

The crocodile is strong and lives in the river.

He is not very clever but listens to his wife.

He tries to trick the monkey but doesn’t win.
