جیسے ہی دوڑ شروع ہوئی، خرگوش اپنی پوری طاقت سے دوڑا۔

اسے بہت اعتماد تھا کہ وہ جیت جائے گا۔

کچھوا بہت پیچھے رہ گیا۔

Translation:

Jaisay hi dour shuru hui, khargosh apni puri taqat se dora.

Usey bohat itmaad tha ke woh jeet jaye ga.

Kachwa bohat peeche reh gaya.

English:

As soon as the race started, the hare ran as fast as he could.

He was very confident he would win.

اس نے نہ رکا اور نہ ہی اپنی سستی پر افسوس کیا۔

وہ بس مسلسل اختتامی لکیر کی طرف چلتا رہا۔

Translation:

Kachwa aahista aahista, qadam ba qadam agay barhta raha.

Us ne na roka aur na hi apni susti par afsos kiya.

Woh bas musalsal ikhtatami lakeer ki taraf chalta raha.

English:

The tortoise moved slowly, step by step.

He didn’t stop or feel sad about being slow.

He just kept going toward the finish line.

خرگوش کچھ دیر دوڑا اور پھر پیچھے مڑ کر دیکھا۔

اسے کچھوا کہیں نظر نہ آیا۔

"خرگوش مسکرایا اور سوچا، "میرے پاس جیتنے کے لیے بہت وقت ہے۔

Translation:

Khargosh kuch der dora aur phir peechay mur kar dekha.

Usay kachwa kahin nazar na aya.

Khargosh muskuraya aur socha, "Mere paas jeetne ke liye bohat waqt hai."

English:

The hare ran for a while and then looked back.

He didn’t see the tortoise anywhere.

The hare smiled and thought, “I have plenty of time to win”.

Translation:

Khargosh ne aik chhaon daar darakht dekha aur aaram karne ka faisla kiya.

Us ne qareeb mein gajron ka khet dekha.

Us ne aik gajar khai aur phir thodi der ke liye so gaya.

English:

The hare saw a shady tree and decided to rest.

He noticed a field full of carrots nearby.

He ate a carrot, then laid down to take a nap.
