مگر ایک ٹکڑا دوسرے سے بڑا نکلا۔

Translation:

Bandar ne roti li aur do hisson mein kaat di.

Us ne dono tukray uthaye aur kaha, "Dekhtay hain yeh barabar hain ya nahin."

Magar aik tukra dosray se bara nikla.

English:

The monkey took the bread and cut it into two pieces.

The monkey raised the pieces and said, “Let’s see if they’re even”.

But one piece was bigger than the other.

اس نے بڑے ٹکڑے میں سے ایک نوالہ لے لیا تاکہ برابر ہو جائیں۔

Translation:

Kaali bili chillayi, "Safed bili ka tukra bara hai!"

Bandar ne kaha, "Fikr na karo, main isay theek kar deta hoon."

Us ne baray tukray mein se aik niwala le liya taake barabar ho jayein.

English:

The black cat shouted, “The white cat’s piece is bigger!”

The monkey said, “Don’t worry, I’ll fix it”.

He took a bite from the larger piece to make it more equal.

بندر نے اُس ٹکڑے میں سے بھی ایک نوالہ لے لیا۔

بلیاں دیکھتی رہیں جب تک بندر تھوڑا تھوڑا کر کے سب کھا گیا۔

Translation:

Ab dosra tukra bara lagnay laga.

Bandar ne us tukray mein se bhi aik niwala le liya.

Biliyan dekhti rahin jab tak bandar thora thora kar ke sab khaa gaya.

English:

Now the other piece looked bigger.

The monkey took a bite from that piece too.

The cats watched as the monkey kept eating small bites.

Translation:

Bandar ne niwalay letay letay saari roti khatam kar di.

Biliyon ko ehsaas hua ke ab un ke paas khanay ko kuch nahi bacha.

Bandar hansa aur darakht par charh gaya.

English:

The monkey kept nibbling until there was no bread left.

The cats realized they had nothing to eat anymore.

The monkey laughed and climbed up a tree.
