కోతి ఆ రొట్టెను తీసుకొని రెండు ముక్కలుగా చేసింది.

“ఇవి సమానంగా ఉన్నాయో లేదో చూద్దాం” అని కోతి ఆ ముక్కలను పైకి లేపి చూపించింది.

కానీ దానిలో ఒక ముక్క మరొక ముక్క కంటే పెద్దదిగా ఉంది.

Translation:

“Evi samananga unnayo ledo chuddam” ani kothi a mukkalanu paiki lepi chupinchindi.

English:

The monkey took the bread and cut it into two pieces.

The monkey raised the pieces and said, “Let’s see if they’re even”.

But one piece was bigger than the other.

“తెలుపు పిల్లి ముక్క పెద్దదిగా ఉంది!” అని నలుపు పిల్లి అరచింది.

"నేను దాన్ని సరిచేస్తాను” అని కోతి చెప్పింది.

వాటిని సమానంగా చేయడానికి పెద్ద ముక్క నుండి కొంచెం ముక్కను కొరికి తినేసింది.

Translation:

“Thelupu pilli mukka peddadiga undi!” Ani nalupu pilli arachindi.

"Nenu danni sarichesthanu” ani kothi cheppindi.

Vatini samanamga cheyadaniki pedda mukka nundi konchem mukkanu koriki tinesindi.

English:

The black cat shouted, “The white cat’s piece is bigger!”

The monkey said, “Don’t worry, I’ll fix it”.

He took a bite from the larger piece to make it more equal.

ఇప్పుడు మరొక ముక్క పెద్దదిగా కనిపించింది.

అప్పుడు కోతి ఆ ముక్క నుండి కూడా కొంచెం కొరికి తినేసింది.

కోతి చిన్న చిన్న ముక్కలు తింటుంటే పిల్లులు చూస్తూ ఉండిపోయాయి.

Translation:

Ippudu maroka mukka peddadiga kanipinchindi.

Appudu kothi a mukka nundi kuda konchem koriki tinesindi.

Kothi chinna chinna mukkalu tintunte pillulu chustu undipoyayi.

English:

Now the other piece looked bigger.

The monkey took a bite from that piece too.

The cats watched as the monkey kept eating small bites.

అప్పటికి తినడానికి తమకు ఏమీ లేదని పిల్లులు గ్రహించాయి.

చివరకు కోతి నవ్వుతూ చెట్టు ఎక్కి వెళ్ళిపోయింది.

Translation:

A kothi rotte emi migalanantavaraku varaku danni koriki tintune undi.

Appatiki tinadaniki tamaku emi ledani pillulu grahinchayi.

Chivaraku kothi navvutu chettu ekki vellipoyindi.

English:

The monkey kept nibbling until there was no bread left.

The cats realized they had nothing to eat anymore.

The monkey laughed and climbed up a tree.
