A surprised hare

खरगोश जितनी तेज़ हो सकता था दौड़ने लगा।

वह बहुत उत्साहित था कि सबको अपनी रफ्तार दिखा सके।

लेकिन जैसे-जैसे वह फिनिश लाइन के पास पहुँचा, उसने कुछ चौंकाने वाला देखा।

Translation:

Khargosh jitni tez ho sakta tha daudne laga.

Vah bahut utsaahit tha ki sabko apni raftaar dikha sake.

Lekin jaise-jaise vah finish line ke paas pahucha, usne kuch chaukane wala dekha.

English:

The hare ran as fast as he could towards the finish line.

He felt excited to show everyone how fast he was.

But as he got closer, he saw something surprising.

सभी जानवर कछुए की जय-जयकार कर रहे थे।

खरगोश हैरान रह गया और उसे बहुत शर्म आई।

Translation:

Kachhua pehle hi finish line paar kar chuka tha!

Sabhi jaanwar kachhua ki jai-jai-kaar kar rahe the.

Khargosh hairaan reh gaya aur use bahut sharm aayi.

English:

The tortoise had already crossed the finish line!

All the animals cheered for the tortoise.

The hare was shocked and felt very embarrassed.

खरगोश को समझ आया कि वह अपने घमंड की वजह से हार गया।

उसने कछुए से मज़ाक उड़ाने के लिए माफ़ी माँगी।

कछुआ मुस्कराया और अपने दोस्त को माफ़ कर दिया।

Translation:

Khargosh ko samajh aaya ki vah apne ghamand ki wajah se haar gaya.

Usne kachhua se mazaak udaane ke liye maafi maangi.

Kachhua muskaraaya aur apne dost ko maaf kar diya.

English:

The hare realized he had lost because he was too proud.

He said sorry to the tortoise for teasing him.

The tortoise smiled and forgave his friend.

खरगोश और कछुआ फिर से अच्छे दोस्त बन गए।

उन्होंने वादा किया कि अब कभी एक-दूसरे का मज़ाक नहीं उड़ाएँगे।

सारे जंगल ने उनकी दोस्ती पर ताली बजाई और खुशी मनाई।

Translation:

Khargosh aur kachhua phir se acche dost ban gaye.

Unhone vaada kiya ki ab kabhi ek-doosre ka mazaak nahi udayenge.

Saare jangal ne unki dosti par taali bajai aur khushi manai.

English:

The hare and the tortoise became good friends again.

They promised to never tease each other.

Everyone in the forest clapped and cheered for their friendship.
