उन्हें एहसास हुआ कि वे अपना खाना खो बैठीं क्योंकि उन्होंने बाँटा नहीं।

इसलिए वे भूखे ही जंगल वापस लौट गईं।

Translation:

Kaali aur safed billi udaas hokar ek-doosre ko dekhne lagiin.

Unhein ehsaas hua ki ve apna khaana kho baithin kyunki unhone baanta nahin.

Isliye ve bhookhe hi jungle wapas laut gayiin.

English:

The black and white cats looked at each other sadly.

They realized they had lost their food because they didn’t share.

So, they had to return to the forest, still hungry.

Ve aur jhagadne ke liye bahut thak chuki thin.

Dono ko apni galti ka ehsaas hua.

English:

The two cats walked back to the forest with empty stomachs.

They were too tired to argue anymore.

Both felt bad about their mistake.

"हमें लड़ने की बजाय रोटी बाँटनी चाहिए थी," काली बिल्ली ने कहा।

"हाँ," सफेद बिल्ली ने सहमति जताई, "लड़ाई ने हमें सब कुछ खो दिया।"

Translation:

Billiyan baith gayiin aur jo hua us par baat karne lagiin.

"Humein ladne ki bajay roti baantni chahiye thi," kaali billi ne kaha.

"Haan," safed billi ne sahmati jatayi, "ladai ne humein sab kuch kho diya."

English:

The cats sat down and talked about what had happened.

“We should have shared the bread instead of fighting,” said the black cat.

“Yes,” agreed the white cat, “fighting only made us lose everything”.
