Ek bheṛiyā zamīn par sōne kā nāṭak kar rahā thā.

Dūsrā bheṛiyā chatur bakrī ke pāas gayā aur bolā, "Merā dost mar gayā".

Kyā āp humein use dafanāne mein madad karogi?

English:

One wolf pretended to be asleep on the ground .

Another wolf went to the wise goat and said, “My friend has died."

"Can you help us bury him?”

बकरी ने कोई भी निर्णय लेने से पहले पूछा, “मैं तुम पर कैसे भरोसा कर सकती हूँ?”

Translation:

Bakrī ko yād āyā ki bheṛiyōn ne uske dōstōn aur parivār ko śikār banāyā thā.

Vah satark ho gaī aur bheṛiyōn par bharosā karne mein hichkichā rahī thī.

Bakaree ne koee bhee nirnay lene se pahale poochha, “main tum par kaise bharosa kar sakatee hoon?”

English:

The goat remembered how the wolves had hunted its friends and family.

It felt cautious and unsure about trusting the wolves.

The goat asked, "How can I trust you?" before making any decisions.

Translation:

Bheṛiyā bolā, "Marā huā bheṛiyā tumheṅ nukṣān nahīn pahunchā saktā."

Kripayā hamārī madad karo. Ham bas apne dost ko dafanānā chāhte hain.

Chatur bakrī ne dhyān se sochā

English:

The wolf said, "A dead wolf can’t hurt you."

Please help us. We just want to bury our friend.

उसने भेड़ियों पर पूरा भरोसा नहीं किया।

Translation:

Chatur bakrī ne bheṛiye ke sāth jāne kā sochā lekin satark rahī.

Usne dūrī banāe rakhi aur dhīre-dhīre chalī.

Usne bheṛiyōn par pūrā bharosā nahīn kiyā.

English:

The wise goat decided to go with the wolf but stayed alert .

It kept its distance and walked slowly.

It didn’t fully trust the wolves.
