Ek samay kī bāt hai, kuchh bakriyāṅ ek ārāmdāyak gufā meṅ rahtī thīn.

Ve sāth meṅ kheltī aur khātī thīn.

Bakriyāṅ pās ke khatre se anjān thīn.

English:

Once upon a time, some goats lived in a cozy cave.

They played and ate together.

The goats were unaware of the danger nearby.

Translation:

Gufā se dūr nahīn, bheṛiyōn ne ek yojnā banāī.

“Chalo bakriyōn ko pakaṛēṅ aur khānā banāēṅ!” ek bheṛiyā bolā.

Unhōne milkar bakriyōn kā shikār karne kī yojnā banāī.

English:

Not far from the cave, the wolves made a plan .

“Let’s catch the goats for our meal!” said one wolf .

They worked together to hunt the goats.

Ek-ek karke bheṛiyōn ne bakriyōn ko pakaṛ liyā.

Jald hī, kēval ek bakrī bachī.

Yah bakrī sabse chatur thī.

English:

One by one, the wolves caught the goats .

Soon, only one goat was left.

This goat was the wisest of them all.

Bheṛiyōn ne chatur bakrī ko dhokhā dene kā sochā.

“Ise pakaṛne ke liye hameṅ ek chālāk yojnā chāhiye,” netā ne kahā.

Unhōne ek chālāk tarkīb sochī.

English:

The wolves decided to trick the wise goat .

“We need a clever plan to catch it,” said the leader.

They came up with a sneaky idea.
