Agle din, gadhe ne ek chaalaak lekin shararati yojna sochi.

"Kya ho agar main jaanboojhkar paani mein gir jaaoon?" usne socha.

Jab ve nadi par pahunche, to gadha dikhawa karte hue fisal kar gir gaya.

Namak phir se ghul gaya, jisse uska bojh bahut halka ho gaya.

Gadha shararati muskaan ke saath hansa.

English:

When they reached the river, the donkey pretended to slip and fall.

The salt dissolved again, making his load much lighter.

The donkey grinned mischievously.
