Translation:

Ek dafa ka zikr hai, ek boorhi madah hans apne saat bachon ke saath ek chhote se ghar mein rehti thi.

Chhotay choozon ko ghaas mein titliyon ka peecha karna bohat pasand tha.

English:

Once upon a time, an old mother goose lived with her seven goslings in a small house.

The goslings loved chasing butterflies in the grass.

Translation:

Maan hans ne apne bachon ko khabardaar kiya ke jab bhi woh khanay ki talaash mein jaye, ek khatarnaak bheriya aa sakta hai.

Woh unhein kha sakta hai, magar uski pehchaan karai ke uski aawaz bhaari hoti hai aur panjay kaalay hotay hain.

Us ne kaha, "Kabhi ajnabi ke liye darwaza mat kholna."

English:

Mother Goose warned her goslings about a dangerous wolf whenever she left for food.

The wolf would eat you up, but she explained how to recognize the wolf by its hoarse voice and black paws.

She told them, "Never open the door to strangers".

Translation:

Ek din, chaalaak bheriya ne hans ke bachon ko dhoka dene ka faisla kiya.

Us ne darwaza khatkhataya aur kaha, "Darwaza kholo! Yeh tumhari maan hai, tohfay ke saath!"

Lekin uski bhaari aawaz ne uska raaz faash kar diya

English:

One day, the cunning wolf decided to trick the goslings.

He knocked on their door and said, "Open up! It’s your mother with gifts!"

But his rough voice gave him away.

Translation:

Choozon ne woh aawaz sunkar darwaza kholne se inkaar kar diya.

Unhon ne jawab diya, "Tum hamari maan nahi ho! Tumhari aawaz bheriye jaisi hai!"

Woh andar hi mehfooz aur muhtaat rahe

English:

The goslings refused to follow the voice they heard.

They replied, "You’re not our mother! Your voice is rough like a wolf’s!"

They stayed inside, safe and cautious.
