Number of such numbers = 14
Therefore, Percentage = (14/70) x 100%
= 1400/70 %
= 20%

Explanation: In the above problem, the number of such numbers is 14 (1,9,11,19,21,29,31,39,41,49,51,59,61,69). Therefore, the percentage is 20% ((14/70) x 100% = 20%).

What is 40 % of 60?

40 % of 60 can be written as : 40/100 x 60
= 2400/100
= 24

Explanation: In the above problem, 40% of 60 is 24.(40/100 x 60 = 24)

Example: 3a

In a class of 50 students, 40 % are girls. Find the number of girls in the class.

Number of students in the class = 50
Number of girls in the class = 40% of 50
= 40/100 x 50 ⇒ 2000/100
Total Number of girls in the class = 20

Explanation: In the above problem, the number of students in the class is 50. Therefore, the number of girls in the class is 20 (40% of 50 = 20)
