Example

Title: Complex Numbers

Grade: 10-a Lesson: S2-L8

Explanation: The best way to understand SAT-2 is by looking at some examples. Take turns and read each example for easy understanding.

Examples:

Add the complex numbers \$(5 - 3i) and (-2 + 7i)\$.

Step 1a

To add complex numbers, simply add their real and imaginary parts separately.

Given the complex numbers:

(5 - 3i) and (-2 + 7i)

Adding the real parts: 5 + (- 2) = 3
Adding the imaginary parts: (- 3) + 7 = 4

So, the result of adding the two complex numbers is: 3 + 4i.

Explanation: Here, we add the real part and the imaginary part separately we get 3 + 4i.
