Step: 1b

  • First multiply the digit at the ones place by 7.

  • 7 × 0 = 0

Write 0 in the ones column.

Step: 1c

  • Now multiply the digit at the tens place by 7.

  • 2 × 7 = 14 tens

Thus 20 x 7 = 140.
