Definition: Multiples with numbers

A multiple of a number is the result you get when you multiply that number by any whole number (0, 1, 2, 3, …​).
For example, 6 is a multiple of both 2 and 3, because:
2 × 3 = 6
3 × 2 = 6
So, we can say 6 is a common multiple of 2 and 3.
