Example

Title: Area of Triangle

Grade: 6-a Lesson: S1-L8

Explanation: The best way to understand geometry is by looking at some examples. Take turns and read each example for easy understanding.

Examples:

Find the area of a triangle having base is 8 cm and height is 12 cm.

Step 1a

The base(b) and height(h) of a triangle (b) are 8 cm and 12 cm.

1a

.

Explanation: Calculate the area of a triangle using the formula A = \$1/2\$ x base x height.For example, if the base is 18 and the height is 12, then the area is 54

Step 1b

Now,calculate the area of Triangle is A = \$1/2 \times b \times h\$

A = \$1/2 \times 18 \times 12\$

After simplification, the value we get, A = \$108/2\$ = 54

Explanation: Calculate the area of a triangle using the formula : A = \$1/2\$ x base x height. In this example, the base is 18 and the height is 12,then the area is 54.

Step 1c

Therefore, the area of the triangle is 54 sq.cm

Explanation: The area of the triangle is 54 square centimeters.
