  • 9 is not divisible by 4 but since, 2 × 4 = 8.we go for it.

  • Subtract 9 - 8 = 1 and write 2 in quotient.

Step 1c

  • Bring down the next value 6. Here the tens place in 1 and the ones place is 6 now the number 16.

  • Therefore the quotient = 24. and the remainder is 0.
