  • Draw the division symbol and write divisor 5 is on left side and dividend 60 enclosed under this symbol.

  • 6 is not divisible by 5 since, 1 × 5 = 5.we go for it.

  • Subtract 6 - 5 = 1 and write 1 in quotient.

Explanation: Here, the first digit of the dividend is 6, 6 is not divisible by 5. Subtract 6 - 5 = 1 and write quotient is 1.

Step 1c

  • Bring down the next value 0. Here the tens place in 1 and the ones place is 0 now the number 10.

  • Therefore the quotient = 12. and the remainder is 0.
