Title: Simplify the expression

Grade: 7-a Lesson: S3-L8

Explanation: The best way to understand algebra is by looking at some examples. Take turns and read each example for easy understanding.

Examples:

1. Simplify \$(6c^3 + 3e^2) - (2c^3 - e^2)\$ .

Step 1a

Given expression.

Explanation: Given expression \$(6c^3 + 3e^2) - (2c^3 - e^2)\$.

Step 1b

Perform operation among the terms according to PEMDAS rule

Explanation:

\$(6c^3 + 3e^2) - (2c^3 - e^2)\$

\$=> 6c^3 + 3e^2 - 2c^3 + e^2\$

\$=> 6c^3 - 2c^3 + 3e^2 + e^2\$

\$=> (6 - 2)c^3 + (3 + 1)e^2\$

\$=> 4c^3 + 4e^2\$

\$=> 4(c^3 + e^2)\$
