Grade: 6-a Lesson: S3-L1

Explanation: The best way to understand algebra is by looking at some examples. Take turns and read each example for easy understanding.

Examples:

1. Calculate the value of \$(9^3)/(3^4)\$.

Step 1a

Given term.

Explanation: Given term is \$(9^3)/(3^4)\$.

Step 1b

Perform operations and convert into lowest form.

Explanation: Perform operation according to PEMDAS rule

Calculate the exponents

\$(9^3)/(3^4)\$

\$=> (9 times 9 times 9)/(3 times 3 times 3 times 3)\$

\$=> 729/81\$
