ADD 1835 + 655

Add digits in ones place value or from the right.

Explanation: 5, 5 are the ones place values i.e, 5 + 5 = 10. Place the 0 under the ones place in answer column and carrying value 1 is tens place.

Step 1b

Then add the tens place value.

Explanation: 3, 8 is the tens place value. Add tens place value and carryforward value is 1 i.e, 3 + 5 + 1 = 9. Place the 9 under the tens place column.

Step 1c

Add the hundred place numbers.

Explanation: 8, 6 is the hundreds place value i.e, 8 + 6 = 14. Place the 4 under the hundreds place column and place the 4 above 1.

Finally the add the thousands place numbers, sum of 1835+ 655 will be 2490.
