Add 1000 and 500

Add 1000 + 500

Arrange the numbers according to the their place. Start the digits in ones column (0 + 0 = 0).

Step 1b

Move to the digits in tens column i.e., 0 + 0 = 0.

Now add the digits in hundreds column i.e., 0 + 5 = 5.
