Add the addends 200 + 200

Add digits in ones place value or from the right.

Step 1b

Moving to the tens place value.

Explanation: 0 , 0 are the tens place values i.e, 0 + 0 = 0. Place 0 in tens place of the answer column.

Step 1c

Moving to the hundred’s place value.

Explanation: No carryforward value , then 2 + 2 = 4.

Finally the sum of 200 + 200 will be 400.
