Add 985 and 75

Step 1a

Add 985 + 75

Aarrange the numbers according to their place values.

Start adding the numbers from ones to right i.e., 5 + 5 = 10.

Explanation: Add the digits in the ones place (5 + 5 = 10). Write down 0 in the ones column and 1 is carried to the tens place column.

Step 1b

Now we add the tens digit i.e., 8 + 7 + 1 = 16. Write down 6 in the tens column and carry 1 to the hundreds column.

Explanation: Add the digits in the tens place (8 + 7 + 1 = 16). Write down 6 in the tens column and 1 is carried to the hundreds place column.

Step 1c

After this ,add the digits in hundreds column i.e., 9 + 1 = 10.

After adding both the columns we get, 985 + 75 = 1060.
