Add 800 + 49

Aarrange the numbers according to their place values.

Start adding the numbers from ones to right i.e., 0 + 9 = 9.

Now we add the tens digit i.e., 0 + 4 = 4.

Write down 4 in the tens column.

After this ,add the digits in hundreds columni.e.,0 + 8 = 8.

After adding both the columns we get, 800 + 49 = 849.
