ADD 680 and 14

Step 1a

ADD 680 + 14

Write the numbers one below the other. 1. Place the attention to their place values.

Explanation: Arrange the number according to their place values. Start adding from the digits in ones place( 0 + 4 = 4). Write 4 in one’s column.

Step 1b

Now add ten’s place. So, it will be 8 + 1 = 9. write 9 in tens column.

Explanation: Add the digits in the tens column i.e.,(8 + 1). Here the sum is 9. We can directly write 9 in the ten’s column.

Step 1c

Add hundred’s place. So, it will be 6 + 0 = 6.

Now there is no carryover and we can directly write 6 in the hundredth’s column.

Therefore, the sum of 680 + 14 = 694.
