ADD 600 and 29

Step 1a

ADD 600 + 29

Write the numbers one below the other. 1. Place the attention to their place values.

Explanation: Arrange the number according to their place values. Start adding from the digits in ones place( 0 + 9 = 9). Write 9 in one’s column.

Step 1b

Now add ten’s place. So, it will be 0 + 2 = 2. write 2 in tens column.

Explanation: Add the digits in the tens column i.e.,(0 + 2). Here the sum is 2. We can directly write 2 in the ten’s column.

Step 1c

Add hundred’s place. So, it will be 6 + 0 = 6.

Now there is no carryover and we can directly write 3 in the hundredth’s column.

Therefore, the sum of 600 + 29 = 629.
