Add 500 and 10

Step 1a

Add 500 + 10

Aarrange the numbers according to their place values.

Start adding the numbers from ones to right i.e., 0 + 0 = 0.

Explanation: Add the digits in the ones place (0 + 0 = 0). Write down 0 in the ones column.

Step 1b

Now we add the tens digit i.e., 0 + 1 = 1.Write down 1 in the tens column.

Explanation: Add the digits in the tens column(0 + 1 = 1).

Step 1c

After this ,add the digits in hundreds columni.e.,5 + 0 = 5.

After adding both the columns we get, 500 + 10 = 510.

Explanation: Add the digits in hundreds column(5 + 0 = 5). Therefore the sum of 500 and 10 is 510.
