A plural noun is a word that indicates that there is more than one person, animal, place, thing, or idea.

Most plural nouns end in -s or -es.

Tip: Noun

  • Add -es to nouns that end in x, z, ch, sh, s, or ss.

  • For nouns ending with consonant plus y, change y to i, and add -es.

  • For nouns ending in f or fe, change the f or fe to v, and add -es and for some nouns ending in a consonant plus o, add -s or -es.
