As Rama walked through the forest, a woman named Shurpanakha appeared. She was a demoness and got angry when Rama refused to marry her. With her anger, she attacked Sita. Immediately Rama interfered to protect Sita.

Lakshmana cut off Shurpanakha’s nose to protect Sita. Shurpanakha complained to her brother, King Ravana, the evil king of Lanka, and asked for help. With the help of Mareecha, Ravana made a plan to kidnap Sita.

One day, while sitting outside her hut, Sita noticed a beautiful golden deer, Mareecha, disguised as deer. She was attracted by its beauty and asked Rama to bring it. Rama initially hesitated but eventually agreed to go after the deer. Lakshmana, the loyal brother, followed Rama to ensure his safety. Before leaving, he drew a rekha around the hut to protect Sita from danger.

As soon as Sita crossed the Rekha to give food to Ravana, he carried her away. Rama was heartbroken with the theft of Sita and determined to rescue his beloved wife from the clutches of the wicked Ravana.
