Rama initially hesitated but eventually agreed to go after the deer. Lakshmana, the loyal brother, followed Rama to ensure his safety. Before leaving, he drew a rekha around the hut to protect Sita from danger. |

As soon as Sita crossed the Rekha to give food to Ravana, he carried her away.
