Grade: 10-a Lesson: S3-L2

Explanation:

Lesson Steps

Step Type Explanation Answer

1

Problem

1

Construct a \$triangleABC\$ with the base as 6 units, \$angleA = 65°\$ and \$angleB = 70°\$.

2

Clue

Given \$triangleABC\$ with the base 6 units and \$angleA = 65°\$, and \$angleB = 70°\$

3

Step

Use a ruler and draw a horizontal line of length 6 units. Name the end points of this line as AB.

4

Step

Place the center of the protactor on A and look for 65° in the scale of the protactor and mark it as point C.

5

Step

Now, place the centre of the protactor on B ad look for 70° in the protactor.

6

Step

join AC and BC

7

Step

It should be note that the third angle , which is \$angleC\$ can be found using the angle sum property of triangle ,so \$angleC = 180 -(65+70) = 45°\$.
