Steps Problem Solution

1

Solve the equation

\$ 3(x+4)-1=-7 \$

2

Given equation

\$ 3(x+4)-1=-7 \$

3

Transver "-1" from left to right hans side we get

\$ 3(x+4)=-7+1 \$

4

After simplification we get

\$ 3(x+4)=-6 \$

5

Dividing on both sides by "3" we get

\$ (3(x+4))/3=-6/3 \$

6

After cancellation we get

\$ x+4=-2 \$

7

Transver "+4" from left to right hans side we get

\$ x=-2-4 \$

8

After simplification we get

\$ x=-6 \$

9

Hence the solution of the equation is

\$ x=-6 \$
