Step-3

Title: Solve the equation

Grade: 7-b Lesson: S2-L6

Explanation: Hello Students, time to practice and review the steps for the problem.

Lesson Steps

Steps Problem Solution

1

Solve

\$ 1/10 z - 9 = 3/5 z - 19\$

2

Move Variable terms to the left side and constant terms to the right side

\$ (z/10) + ((3z)/5) = -19 + 9 \$

3

Taking LCM as '\$10\$'

\$ (z + 6z)/10 = -10/1\$

4

By using cross multiplication

\$ z + 6z = -100\$

5

After Addition

\$ 7z = -100 \$

6

Dividing on both sides by '\$7\$' of the equality

\$ \cancel(7)^1/ \cancel(7)^1 z = -100/7 \$

7

After cancelation

\$ z = -100/7 \$

8

Answer

D = \$ z = -100/7 \$
